Hello and welcome to October 2026!
October 2026 is bringing big feelings and even bigger plot twists, courtesy of rare retrogrades in Scorpio and Libra. The cosmos is handing us a timeout to look inward and reconsider our relationships, finances, and self-worth—no pressure, of course.
Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto are already retrograde. In October, two personal planets join the party, bringing the cosmic drama straight to our doorstep.
Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio on October 3, kicking off a six-week audit of love, money, desire, and relationship choices. Think of it as a cosmic review of what we value, what draws us in, what we believe we deserve, and whether our give-and-take could use a little recalibrating.
This Venus retrograde has another trick up its celestial sleeve: Venus makes three squares to Pluto, spinning one powerful story from September through December. Together, they pull back the curtain on love, money, power, transformation, and all the relationship baggage we thought was neatly stored away.
The three Venus-Pluto squares are key activation points in one cosmic trilogy: September 15th introduces the plot, October 18th delivers the dramatic middle chapter, and December 8th asks us to make sense of the finale.
On October 3, the same day Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio, Mars opposes Pluto.
Mars wants action; Pluto wants the hidden agenda. When they square off, buried desires stop whispering and start demanding the stage. Power struggles with others can come to the surface.
Buried feelings may stage a jailbreak. Anger, resentment, power struggles, and the urge to break free can crank the volume. With Mercury joining the debate, we may confront the issue, demand answers, or finally say the quiet part out loud. Some relationships may leave the chat; others may grow stronger through honest conversation.
On October 10, a New Moon in Libra teams up beautifully with Jupiter in Leo, bringing fresh energy, new contracts, and romantic breakthroughs. But it lands right in the middle of the Venus-Mars tension, so that lovely new agreement or boundary may need to survive a little cosmic friction first.
Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio (October 24 – November 13): Just as we’re wading through Venus’s emotional deep end, Mercury—the planet of communication—turns retrograde in Scorpio on October 24. Expect revealing conversations, secrets surfacing, and the usual tech and communication hiccups, all with Scorpio’s detective mode turned up. Hold off on legal or career commitments until around November 20th; otherwise, they may need a rewrite—or never get off the ground.
I know I sound like a broken record, but try starting each day with a little gratitude before your feet even hit the floor. It can calm your system, soften your reactions, and make the day feel a bit lighter—before the group chats begin.
For October, remember you don’t need every answer today or a master plan for every outcome. Just stay grounded enough to remember who you are while life rearranges the furniture. The chaos will pass. Your strength isn’t going anywhere.
When the clouds finally clear, you may look back and realize the chaos had a point: it showed you what was real, what mattered, what needed to go, and just how strong you’ve been all along.
This will pass. The real takeaway is who you became on the way through.
