ASTROLOGY OVERVIEW FOR AUGUST, 2024.
Picking up where we left off in July, 2024, remember that we now have FOUR planets in retrograde, Neptune, Chiron, Saturn and Pluto. While most of these retrograde planets are working on subtle levels, we still feel energies slow down. It is the Universe’s way of guiding us to slow, down, reflect, and look over things once again before pushing ahead. I hope wherever the cosmic energies take you this month, you are able to feel that life has slowed down just enough to allow you some space to recharge and reflect.

Get ready to feel the fire within! Leo season—arriving from July 22nd to August 21st—will be a time to reconnect with the deepest part of ourselves.
In any given year, the Season of the Lion is about play, fun, and remembering our inner child’s dreams. This year, the sky paves the way for an epic transformation due to the second Mercury Retrograde on August 4, requesting us to review a lot of the situations that are currently present in our lives. This Merc Retro will have two different facets. The first one, happening in Virgo (August 4th to August 14th) informs us of what needs to be reviewed, analyzed, or talked through. The second one, happening in Leo (August 14th and August 28th), guides us in connecting with our feelings so we can create our reality not from our minds—but instead, from a heart-centered place.
At this season’s New Moon, which happens in Leo on August 4th, ask yourself all the questions. Embrace deep introspection and meditation (particularly candle-gazing), and wait for the answers you seek. Many arrive at the August 19th Full Moon in Aquarius, which is sure to bring a lot of action and movement, releasing many of us from stagnant mindsets and situations.
August 2nd; Venus square Uranus transit can test the stability of love relationships through unexpected urges or events. Sudden attractions or changeability in your affections and loyalties are possible. An increased need for freedom and excitement can test your patience with a loved one or lead to wandering eyes. If you feel smothered, confined or bored, you may lash out in anger or through other destructive behavior.
August 4; Mercury Retrograde (see above description).
August 14; Mars conjuncts Jupiter; which makes you strong, confident and sexy. This is one of the most favorable aspects, especially for taking action and physical activities. This aspect has always been known for successful efforts. The only potential problems you may experience are going over the top regarding risk-taking or overindulging in dangerous desires such as gambling or drinking. Even with risk-taking, you should be generally lucky because Jupiter does bring good fortune.
August 16th; Mars squares Saturn which creates difficulties in advancing projects and in self-expression. The main areas affected by the limiting influence of Saturn are your passionate desires and the ability for sustained effort. You have strong desires and goals, but challenges arise in expressing and attaining these wants and needs.
August 19th; Jupiter squares Saturn can feel like a road trip with the hand brake on. Other people and circumstances will test your faith and optimism. A sense of heaviness or responsibility may limit your ability to express your high level of creative talents, which can harm your self-esteem. Especially when young, any major setbacks or criticism from parents and teachers will significantly impact your self-esteem.
August 22nd; Venus squares Mars brings intense love-frustration feelings into incredibly intimate relationships. Any irritation at loved ones can rapidly escalate to anger and temper tantrums. Yet this intensity of feeling subsides just as quickly as it builds once the pressure valve has been released. Open and honest sharing of these deep feelings will help achieve the strongest desire, usually a stable, harmonious, lasting relationship.
August 28th; Mercury goes Direct Yaay!!
August 29th; Venus trine Pluto adds great depth and intensity to your feelings and anything you love or are passionate about. This is a generally favorable aspect but does have its dark side. The primary influence will be on your love life and other close relationships. It is easy for you to fall deeply in love, and you take relationships very seriously.
Just a Note: Saturn (mastery) has a 29-year orbit and Neptune (spiritual) has a 165-year orbit, so together they represent a new episode of ‘making dreams real.’ By November 20, 2024 Pluto will enter Aquarius fully for another 20 years, and Uranus will have begun to enter Gemini for another 7 years in 2025. So we are entering a period of great endings and beginnings personally and collectively.
The outer planets are shifting from slow, heavy Earth and Water signs into Air and Fire, so things will be happening faster for us which we are all feeling now. Linear time will shift and slip as we discover more of our multidimensionality. The next two years are quite remarkable in terms of the speed of change for humanity.
So allow yourself to flow, morph, be lighter of foot, flexible, adaptable, and see where you imagine your future self in two years.
