February has much more positive energy than January, and by the time we reach the end of the month we should have more resources and be feeling more energized and ready to tackle the energies that 2025 has been bringing our way so far.
The month begins on the 1st with a beautifully healing triple conjunction with Venus, Neptune and briefly, the Moon all at 27°-28° Pisces radiating healing, intuitive energies. It will positively affect all of us, but check your natal chart, if you have any planet at that degree mark it will positively affect you. All of us can really use this right now.
Jupiter is stationing direct in Gemini on February 4, a welcomed energy dynamic that will bring in more resources and opportunities to help resolve issues with which we have been struggling. It also encourages us to have a more positive “you got this” attitude.
Then we have the Leo Full Moon on February 12 but the lunation is square chaotic Uranus. This changing energy can feel unsettling at first, but holds the promise of healing, too. It seems that whatever changes or upheaval we experience under this Full Moon is leading us to a brighter and more aligned path.
February also brings the magical and powerful, Fomalhaut Gateway, (explanation; there are countless stars in our galaxy, but ancient astrologers singled out four as being the most important. These four stars, known as the Royal Stars were believed to be guardians of the sky and home to powerful stargate portals). The “Gateway” is the time our Sun aligns with one of the four Royal Stars, Fomalhaut. This is a highly intuitive time that can bring some softening and introspection, especially if we have moved through some transformations and transitions.
Mars also stations direct on February 23rd, bringing a powerful end point to a cycle we have been working with since October of last year. We may feel our energy levels recalibrating and an increased sense of motivation.
Overall, February brings some forward moving momentum which we should all definitely appreciate. The stagnancy of the past few months will begin to loosen and we’ll be able to take in some of that new, fresh inspiration that 2025 has to offer.
Let’s take a look at the key astrology dates for the month:
February 2025 Astrology February 1: Venus Conjunct Neptune in Pisces
Venus has already entered its shadow phase in preparation for its upcoming retrograde next month, but even though its energy is slowing down, it makes a beautiful alignment with Neptune, creating soft vibrations that we all get to enjoy! Venus and Neptune together bring creativity, enhanced intuition, and a softening of our hearts. We may feel more poetic, creative, and in touch with our feelings. Our dreams may feel more prophetic, or we may find it easier to connect with our psychic senses.
February 4: Jupiter Direct in Gemini
Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, stations direct in Gemini after being retrograde since October 2024. Jupiter stationing direct can bring some forward momentum when it comes to our goals and dreams. As Jupiter is in Gemini, we may also notice some forward momentum when it comes to communications or conversations that need to be had. We may feel like we can finally express what we have to say clearly and succinctly. Communications, marketing, or social media projects that we have been trying to get off the ground may finally begin to make headway. Jupiter is also the bringer of gifts, so as it stations direct, we may receive some deeply rewarding resources and opportunities!
February 4: Venus in Aries
Venus enters Aries, and will spend a long time here due to its upcoming retrograde March 2nd. Venus in Aries will become our theme for the coming months, and we are likely to feel this energy concentrated around matters of the heart. Venus in Aries is a powerful, impulsive (try not to jump off the cliff into love with this energy, just enjoy the passion but take your time!) energy dynamic that can help us reconnect with our passions and stay motivated when it comes to love. Stay tuned for more on Venus as she begins her retrograde!
February 9: Sun Conjunct Mercury in Aquarius
When the Sun and Mercury come together, we get positive brain waves flowing our way! We can think with more clarity and feel more confident about our decisions. The Sun and Mercury coming together in Aquarius can also open our minds to new possibilities and avenues that we may not have considered before. This is a very mentally stimulating energy that we can also use to tackle difficult, problem-solving projects.
February 12: Leo Full Moon
There is some wildcard energy circulating under this bold Leo Full Moon! While this Full Moon can bring some unexpected news and upheaval in its square to Uranus, there is also deep healing on offer too. This healing energy comes from Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, which is active under this Full Moon. Chiron’s energy guides us to take what is painful and transmute it into something worthy and beautiful. Chiron understands that some wounds cut too deep to ever leave us, but knows that despite our wounding, we still have the power to create and live in beauty and joy. If changes or upset happen under this Full Moon, try to come back to Chiron’s messaging for soothing comfort. Full Moons are also powerful times for culmination and letting go, so allow whatever needs to fall away to fall away. Brighter energies will emerge if we do.
February 18: Pisces Season Begins
We move out of air sign Aquarius, into water sign Pisces. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, so it’s natural to feel a sense of culminations and endings as we move through the season. Pisces is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. Even though they journey in a different direction and have different experiences, they both end up in the same place, signifying that we always end up where we need to be! During Pisces Season, we can also feel more emotional, sensitive, and in touch with our energy field. It’s a good time to pay attention to our spiritual hygiene and to ensure we are keeping our auric field clear.
February 19: Juno in Sagittarius
On February 19th, Juno, the asteroid of commitment, moves into adventurous Sagittarius, inspiring open-mindedness and freedom within partnerships. There’s a desire to explore new horizons together, whether through travel, learning, or philosophical pursuits. Relationships thrive on shared ideals and expansive experiences during this transit.
February 20: Mercury squares Jupiter
On February 20, Mercury and Jupiter form a square. Mercury reaches the trine to Mars in Cancer on the 23rd, which ends its retrograde motion a day later. On February 25, Mercury forms a conjunction with Saturn in Pisces and a loose trine to Mars. Some retrospection could happen. Embrace your feelings, even the painful ones. Practice compassion, and don't forget that you can and must also take action during this time.
February 22-24: Fomalhaut Gateway
Fomalhaut is known as the loneliest star as it appears to stand brightly in the corner of our Universe all by itself. Fomalhaut reminds us that we each come to this earthly realm with our own unique light and our own unique offerings. We don’t need to be anything other than ourselves in order to bring our unique gifts and offerings to the world, all we need to do is stand strong in who we are. Fomalhaut holds the energy of transformation and can be a powerful reminder that all endings eventually pave the way for new beginnings.
February 23: Ceres in Pisces
Now we see the dwarf planet Ceres entering Pisces, bringing nurturing and healing energies to the forefront. Ceres emphasizes compassion and emotional support, urging you to care for yourself and others with gentle love.
February 23: Mars Direct in Cancer
Mars finally stations direct in the sign of Cancer after being retrograde since October! This is definitely a welcomed relief, as Mars Retrograde can be one of the most intense retrogrades we can experience. Mars Retrograde has been guiding us to recalibrate our energy levels and to reconsider what motivates us. Those answers may be clearer to us now as we are able to reconfigure how we are choosing to spend our time and energy! Mars stationing direct in Cancer may also press on family issues that we have been dealing with. We may decide that it’s time to take action or try a different approach to difficult matters. And it should increase our flagging libido, that’s good! Our “hearts” will be our guide.
February 27: Pisces New Moon
A floaty and gentle New Moon that may have us feeling scattered in our physical world but open and receptive in our spiritual world! Our emotions are likely to be sensitive under the Pisces New Moon as we navigate its watery energy. We may feel like escaping from reality for a little bit, or perhaps we may find it hard to sift through the feelings of the collective. We need to be gentle with ourselves and make time to go within. We must honor any sensitivities that come up without allowing ourselves to be pulled down into too much darkness. Creative energies are strong under this New Moon, allowing us to plant seeds and set intentions for the month ahead. This is also our last lunar cycle before the start of the astrological new year, which arrives next month on the Equinox.
Try to stay in gratitude, stillness, peace, love, bare feet on the ground, feeling the Oneness of all living beings. Can you blend with the animals, the trees perhaps, and feel what they are feeling? This sense of merging or morphing will be using Neptune energy well, as long as you stay grounded. This energy is excellent for boosting your creativity and your spiritual practice, so meditate, do breath-work, listen to sacred music, paint, write, sing, dance . . . and imagine that you are breathing in love, and breathing out love. Take care of yourself.
MANY BLESSINGS,
