Welcome to March 2025 -- a month of push/pull. There's reflection and forward movement, pause and transformation. Venus and Mercury both station retrograde, offering us a chance to slow down, reassess, and look inward. Eclipses and planetary shifts add intensity, while Aries season calls us to embrace bold new beginnings. The themes of reflection and action weave together, reminding us to stay grounded while making decisive moves toward what inspires us.
The 2025 Eclipses season is upon us, the Lunar Eclipse on March 14 adding intensity to your Virgo/Pisces axis. And then the Solar Eclipse on March 29 in Aries prompting us to make (or accept) changes. The themes of reflection and action weave together, reminding us to stay grounded while making decisive moves toward what inspires us.
The best part of this month is that we are about to witness a rare cosmic event — Neptune enters Aries for the first time since 1861! Marking a new era involving cultural shifts and a quantum leap toward new beginnings. Let’s take a deep dive and collectively find out what is in store this month. Also, look at what your zodiac sign will experience in March 2025. Check out your sun, moon, and rising sign for extended insight!
(Side Note; Mars went direct on February 23rd, (having been retrograde since December 6, 2024) and is just now really accelerating. All the simmering anger just beneath the surface for the last 10 weeks is bursting out. It is in Cancer, which is the Sun sign in the U.S. natal chart. (Yes the United States has a birth chart, July 4, 1776). To add this up, just know that the next few months are going to be pretty reactionary and unpredictable).
Now Check out These Dates;
March 1st – Venus stations Retrograde in Aries
Relationships will be tested. It’s best to exercise patience, which won’t be easy because Venus is in impulsive Aries. A bit of restraint will go a long way to keeping the peace. Venus retrograde can bring exes back into the picture. If that happens, you’ll want to take time to talk it out. Meet someone new? You’ll want to hold off making any decisions until after Venus goes direct on April 12. Spending habits need to be watched carefully during this retrograde as well. Unwise retail therapy sessions could put you in the red. Keep your wallet closed, and you’ll avoid buyer’s remorse. The flip side of this is that you may receive money owed.
March 3 -- Mercury Enters Aries
If Mercury in Pisces had us daydreaming, its shift into Aries will wake us up. Communication gets bold, direct, and fiery. Speak your truth—but don’t forget to listen, too.
March 11 -- Mercury Conjunct Retrograde Venus in Aries
Quick wit meets charm in this lovely conjunction. Conversations feel natural and engaging, whether you’re brainstorming ideas or connecting with someone you care about. Venus retrograde means it may be a moment to revisit past connections or to reevaluate what really matters to you. Either way, say what’s on your mind—you might be surprised by how well it’s received.
March 14 -- Full Moon (Lunar Eclipse) in Virgo
This Lunar Eclipse brings the Virgo themes of organization, healing, and letting go into sharp focus. What systems or habits are no longer serving you? If you are familiar with your natal chart, you can see which areas of your life this is affecting. This is a great moment to clear the clutter (physically or emotionally) and make space for something better.
March 15 -- Mercury Retrograde Begins
Mercury stations retrograde, which means it’s time to slow down and double-check the details. Whether it’s miscommunications or tech glitches, patience will be your best ally. Use this time to revisit unfinished projects instead of starting new ones. You need to be listening more than speaking. Travel could also be problematic, so it’s wise to carve out extra time to arrive at your destination. It’s also important to back up your computers. **Lastly, avoid signing contracts, leases, anything permanent until Mercury stations direct on April 7th.
March 27 --Venus retrogrades back into Pisces
After a few weeks in fire sign Aries, this feels like a cool down. Reflect on your relationships. Is your heart still in it? Is it time to revisit old stories, or do you want a fresh chapter? Pisces is ultra-sensitive, so if you need to check in with your feelings about a loved one or ex, you’ll have an easier time accessing your emotions. Venus will be in Pisces until April 30th.
March 29 -- The Solar Eclipse in Aries
This is a powerful time to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. This is great for fresh starts and all the new beginnings! This is your official green light if you want to clean up your act, start a new side hustle, or set sail for an adventure. Nothing can hold you back except you. Bear in mind the eclipse can be unpredictable. It’s wise to have a plan B just in case your new path has a pothole (remembering both Mercury and Venus are retrograde).
March 30 -- The month’s big news: Neptune moves into Aries
After years of being home in mystical Pisces, Neptune isn’t too comfortable in fire sign Aries. Neptune wants to dream while Aries is ready to DO. In a way, it feels like waking up from a dream only to realize that there is work to be done. Conflicts are possible during this transit, and the people will need to decide whether we fight for the future we want and build the dream together—or waste our energy fighting pointless battles. No matter the choice, we have until 2039 to sort it out.
Again – because it is important!! Try to stay in gratitude, stillness, peace, love, bare feet on the ground, feeling the Oneness of all living beings. Can you blend with the animals, the trees perhaps, and feel what they are feeling? This sense of merging or morphing will be using Neptune energy well, as long as you stay grounded. This energy is excellent for boosting your creativity and your spiritual practice, so meditate, do breath-work, listen to sacred music, paint, write, sing, dance . . . and imagine that you are breathing in love, and breathing out love. Take care of yourself.
MANY BLESSINGS, JULIE REEVES, https://sightedastrology.com
