Kramer Wetzel
Astrological Prognostication
astrofish.net
The site, astrofish.net, and its later assigns, was born in a seedy TexMex dive on the wrong side of town. The original sketch was Kramer Wetzel holding a fishing pole with star signs dangling from the various stellar elements.
That original image mutated to a young Kramer in the seat of a bass boat while the astrological signs revolved around him. Thus was born the marriage of high-tech and low-brow.
The first horoscopes were “penned” (typed) in 1987, appearing briefly. Over time, with earned college degrees, improved education, and word-smithing, the regular monthly versions started in 1993, finding migrant web homes in 1994, moving to a weekly format in 1995.
Picked up by the then-popular AOL Astronet channel, the rest of the tale is left to the murky waters of the inter-webs. Kramer Wetzel has written daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly horoscopes, all 12 signs. He prefers the weekly format.
Branching out, he was the only shooter and webmaster at “Bexar County Line,” an occasional photoblog site, as well as his own web journal, formerly at astrofish.net/xenon and now available as astrofish.net.
The column, Fishing Guide to the Stars, is in regular production, without fail, since 1993, and weekly since 1995, making it one of the longest running astrology and horoscope columns on the web.
Kramer Wetzel is famous for quoting Shakespeare’s works as an introduction, or as a way to punctuate a point.
"Your tale, sir, would cure deafness."
— Miranda in Shakespeare 'The Tempest' (I.ii.106)
